Protecting Children from Sex Trafficking

Registration is closed for this event
1 child is lured into sex trafficking in the United States every 2 minutes. Sharing One Love is hosting this awareness event for children in the area to be protected from sex trafficking by learning how to identify, report and avoid becoming victims.

Latest trends show that children are primary targets for human trafficking in the United States. Traffickers are increasingly using the internet and social media apps to lure children and sell them to buyers. The first line of defense is to inform children and their parents on how to identify and report suspect activities.

Sharing one Love is hosting this free event for adults and children that are at least 13 years old. Participants will learn about Human Trafficking in the United States, how children can be protected from becoming victims and effective strategies on helping victims live a life of freedom from further abuse and exploitation .

The 90 minute presentation includes:

  • Human Trafficking Trends in 2022
  • Presentation of the trafficking prevention curriculum, "Understanding Trafficking" from FreewayNC" (you can check out the trailer below!)
  • Question & answer and next action steps for our community.
